Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of ExpenseFlow (“the app”), a personal expense tracker operated by QuantumCreations (“we,” “us”). They apply to the ExpenseFlow mobile app (Android and iOS) and the companion web app at expenseflow-mobile-app-web.web.app.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ExpenseFlow you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use ExpenseFlow.

2. The service

ExpenseFlow is a personal expense tracking app. It lets you log expenses, set budgets and savings goals, import transactions, share expenses with family or groups, and receive AI-powered features such as transaction classification, spending insights, forecasts, and a financial coaching chatbot. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Your account

• An account (email, Google, or Apple sign-in) is required to use ExpenseFlow; it keeps your data backed up and synced across devices.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• The information you provide must be accurate, and the data you enter must be yours to enter.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Profile & Account; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

4. Subscriptions (ExpenseFlow Premium)

Some features require a paid Premium subscription:

• Plans: Premium is an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription. Pricing is set per country and shown in your Google Play or App Store checkout before you confirm — the checkout price is the price you pay, inclusive of taxes where required (for example, prices for India include GST; currently ₹199/month or ₹1,999/year there).
• Billing: payment is charged to your Google Play or Apple App Store account at confirmation of purchase. We never see or store your card details.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your store account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Cancelling: manage or cancel your subscription in your Google Play or App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. After cancellation you keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Free trials & offers: if a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Refunds: refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their respective policies.
• Restoring: use Restore Purchases in the app to recover a Premium subscription bought with the same store account.

5. Free tier

The free tier includes a generous set of features and monthly usage limits (for example, a monthly cap on tracked expenses and limited AI usage). These limits may change over time as we tune the service; any change applies going forward and does not remove data you have already saved.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the app for anything unlawful or fraudulent;
• attempt to break, probe, or overload our systems, or to access another user’s data;
• reverse-engineer, copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its services except where the law expressly permits;
• abuse AI features (e.g. automated scraping of responses) or use them to generate harmful content;
• misuse referral or reward programmes (e.g. fake installs or self-referrals) — we may withhold rewards earned this way.

7. AI-generated content

ExpenseFlow uses AI (Google Gemini) to classify transactions, generate insights, forecasts, and coaching replies. AI output is informational only and can be inaccurate or incomplete. It is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and no advisor-client relationship is created. Always verify important numbers and consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

8. Your data

You own the financial data you enter. How we collect, store, and protect it is described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your data at any time from Settings → Export (CSV or JSON backup).

9. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, abuse the service, or where we are required to by law. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and a chance to export your data first. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) survive termination.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

ExpenseFlow is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations, imports, or AI outputs will be accurate. The app is a tracking aid — it is your responsibility to keep your own financial records.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuantumCreations will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, savings, or data, arising out of or relating to your use of the app. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (or, if you paid nothing, US $10 or the equivalent in your local currency). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence, courts in India have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms. If the laws of your country of residence (for example, the United States or the United Arab Emirates) grant you mandatory consumer rights, or the right to bring or defend proceedings in your local courts, nothing in this section takes those rights away, and any provision of these Terms that conflicts with such mandatory law does not apply to you. Your store purchase may additionally be subject to Google Play or Apple App Store terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app before they take effect, and the “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
